This site was built as part of The Opportunity Project, which works to "bring together government, technologists, and communities to create digital tools that help strengthen American economic opportunity." This tool is part of the Office of Management & Budget / U.S. Department of the Treasury cohort, and is focused on two key problem statements:
- Increasing Government Accountability by Connecting Federal Spending and Performance Data
- Improving Access to and Management of Federal Grants
In order to address both problem statements, eCivis created this site to focus on a single topic: homelessness. First, to increase government accountability, we have connected federal spending with federal audit data to show how grant dollars are being spent, specifically whether the recipients are being good stewards of federal funds. Second, to improve access to federal grants, we have curated a list of federal grants that address homelessness. We also provide users with the ability to see into which states federal funds are flowing, which allows users to find additional sources of funding, as well as maximize their current funds.
- Census (Population Data)

The site is designed for grants professionals, researchers, government finance professionals, and citizens interested in transparency and accountability.
